“The process of menopause brings us face to face with who we really think we are, what matters to us, our true ‘calling.’”

Uma Dinsmore-Tuli “Yoni Shakti”

Every woman encounters perimenopause and menopause in her own way. There is huge variety in experience and the process can last up to 15 years and then unfolds into our mature years. Cultural pressures and expectations around menopause are immense and generally very negative. This is an important and potentially empowering transition in a woman’s life. Discover how to welcome and honour it so that you can step into a powerful initiation that celebrates the wisdom and freedom of your post-menstruating years.

  • Experience how yoga can promote and support deep health and well-being, through perimenopause, and into and beyond menopause.
  • Encounter yoga that can alleviate the challenging symptoms of menopause including exhaustion, memory loss, hot flashes and vaginal dryness.
  • Delight in nourishing practices, including Total Yoga Nidra (deep healing relaxation/ heart-based meditation), that promote self-acceptance, embracing of change and awakening of deep vital energy for a positive transformation

There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion with Uma responding and adjusting to meet the needs of those attending.

Who is it for?

  • All women at any life stage to prepare for perimenopause and menopause, to gain support while in these stages and, if post-menopausal to gain clarity and understanding.
  • Yoga teachers and yoga therapists – it can count towards CE points depending upon the requirements of their professional associations
  • Body-mind health care practitioners with a living practice of yoga who want to support their clients in positive experiences of perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause.
